1962 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T120 CLASSIC
Highlights

From the Zimmerman Brothers Collection
Fully restored by Bill Hoard, Martin, Michigan

Bill Hoard of Martin, Michigan, the restorer of many Bonnevilles in the Zimmerman Brothers Collection, is considered one of the best in the world. Hoard’s work is featured in many Triumph collections in the USA. Most collectors say he set the Triumph restoration standards for more than 25 years. Bill has recently retired, and this may be the rare chance to acquire one of his restorations. The 1962 Triumph Bonneville marked the end of an age. It was the last pre-unit-construction motorcycle built by Triumph. Unit construction—meaning the engine and gearbox shared a single casing—ushered in the modern age, or so it must have seemed at the time. Little did they know that just a few short years from then, the Japanese would flood the market with technologically advanced machinery the likes of which the world had never seen. The biggest differences between the 1962 Triumph Bonneville and the 1961 was the appearance of the motorcycle. The seat was now two-tone gray and black. The colors switched from the pale blues of the past to Flame Orange and Sliver Sheen, the pairing separated by a gold pinstripe. CALL NOW ON 01744 616161
